Q: Chen Shuibian stopped over in Alaska in the U.S. on January 13. Do you have any comment?

A:China always opposes any form of official exchanges between any country and the Taiwan authorities. Chen Shuibian is a saboteur of peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait and a troublemaker in China-US relations. We urge the US to honor its commitments to China on the Taiwan question, not allow Chen Shuibian's separatist activities of whatever form for Taiwan Independence on the US soil and refrain from sending any wrong signal to the Taiwan separatist forces.
