The Chinese Consulate in Laoag was established on April 11, 2007. The Consular area covers the northern region of the Philippines consisting of Region 1-Ilocos region, Region 2-Cagaya Valley, and Cordillera Administrative Region, with totally 15 provinces namely Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Cagayan, Isabela, Batanes, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province. The whole area is nearly 60,000 square kilometers and the population is about 11 million.

The friendship between China and the Philippines has a long history. The two countries are good neighbors, good relatives and good partners.

I am honored to be appointed as the seventh Consul & Head of Post of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag.  Together with my colleagues, I will work hard to promote healthy and stable development of China-Philippines relations in the consular area, deepen the friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and the relevant provinces and cities of the Northern Luzon. At the same time, we will devote ourselves to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese citizens and enterprises, and provide consular services for our compatriots.
