China attaches importance to Mali's legitimate concerns on national sovereignty, security and development, supports the Malian people in independently choosing a development path that suits their national conditions, and supports Mali in fighting terrorism and safeguarding national unity. China will continue to provide support and assistance for Mali's stable development.

Wang Yi expressed, China is ready to take the implementation of the follow-up actions of the eighth Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation as an opportunity to strengthen cooperation with Mali in public health, infrastructure construction and agricultural development, accelerate the implementation of COVID-19 vaccines and anti-pandemic materials assistance, and advance assistance projects such as hydropower stations, solar energy demonstration villages and agricultural technology cooperation in an orderly manner. Hope that Mali will continue to take effective measures to ensure the safety of Chinese institutions and personnel and create a more stable and secure environment for bilateral cooperation.

Diop said that China is Mali’s good friend and good partner. Mali sincerely thanks China for showing solidarity and friendship, supporting Mali in safeguarding sovereignty, independence, political stability and national unity, and providing valuable assistance for Mali's economic and social development. Mali is also a reliable partner of China, firmly pursuing the one-China policy and supporting China in safeguarding its core interests. Mali is willing to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation with China and will take all necessary measures to protect the safety of Chinese friends in Mali.

Wang Yi stressed that China is ready to work with Mali to jointly uphold the principle of non-interference in internal affairs and uphold international fairness and justice. China is committed to providing public goods to the world and promoting peace, development and cooperation, rather than war, interference and subversion. The more China develops, the more support it will provide for developing countries. The stronger China is, the more secure world peace and security will be.
