On October 16, 2023, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council Ding Xuexiang met in Beijing with a high-level delegation consisting of Adviser of President of Turkmenistan Begliyev Ashyrguly, Deputy Prime Minister Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, and State Minister Babayev Maksat Mammetsaparovich, among others.

Ding Xuexiang said that China and Turkmenistan have always upheld the principle of mutual respect, mutual benefit, and win-win results to advance friendly cooperation in various fields. At the beginning of this year, President Xi Jinping and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov jointly announced the elevation of bilateral relations to the comprehensive strategic partnership, ushering China-Turkmenistan relations into a new chapter. China is ready to work together with Turkmenistan to fully implement the important consensus reached between the top leaders of the two countries, deepen cooperation in the field of energy, and push forward the constant development of bilateral relations.

The Turkmen side said that under the care and promotion of the top leaders of the two countries, cooperation between Turkmenistan and China in natural gas has yielded fruitful results. Turkmenistan is willing to continue to deepen bilateral energy cooperation and push forward the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
