On the evening of November 14, 2023, President Xi Jinping left Beijing by special plane for San Francisco of the United States  for a China-U.S. summit meeting and the 30th APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting at the invitation of U.S. President Joe Biden.

President Xi’s entourage include Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee Cai Qi, and Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
