On November 21, 2023, Vice President Han Zheng met with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov in Beijing.

Han Zheng said that China and Uzbekistan are both ancient civilizations in the world, and the ancient Silk Road has witnessed friendly exchanges between the people of the two countries for more than two thousand years. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 31 years ago, the two sides have always treated each other as equals and maintained mutual respect and trust, which promotes the sound and stable development of China-Uzbekistan relations. Bakhtiyor Saidov said that Uzbekistan-China relations are at the best and highest level in history. Uzbekistan regards China as the most important comprehensive strategic partner.
