On November 21, 2023, Vice President Han Zheng met with Uzbekistan's Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov in Beijing.

Han Zheng said that China and Uzbekistan are both ancient civilizations in the world, and the ancient Silk Road has witnessed friendly exchanges between the people of the two countries for more than two thousand years. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 31 years ago, the two sides have always treated each other as equals and maintained mutual respect and trust, which promotes the sound and stable development of China-Uzbekistan relations. Under the strategic guidance and personal commitment of the two heads of state, the development of China-Uzbekistan relations has ushered into a new era, and cooperation in various fields has embarked on a fast lane, injecting new momentum into the common development and prosperity of the two countries. China is willing to step up mutual support with Uzbekistan, speed up the synergy of development strategies, and translate the high-level political relations between the two countries into tangible results to the greater benefit of the two peoples.

Bakhtiyor Saidov said that Uzbekistan-China relations are at the best and highest level in history. Uzbekistan regards China as the most important comprehensive strategic partner. Uzbekistan is willing to strengthen strategic dialogue with China, follow through on the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, and continuously deepen mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields.
