On September 8, 2023, Vice President Han Zheng met with Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Eloina Rodriguez Gomez in Beijing.

Han Zheng said that under the strategic guidance and personal care of President Xi Jinping and President Nicolás Maduro Moros, the ironclad friendship between China and Venezuela has become deeper in recent years. The two countries have maintained close coordination and cooperation in international and regional affairs, firmly supported each other and jointly opposed hegemonism and unilateralism. Going forward, the two sides should take President Nicolás Maduro Moros's visit to China as an opportunity to follow through on the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state, firmly support each other's core interests, cement the foundation of China-Venezuela practical cooperation, make full use of the mechanism of the China-Venezuela High-Level Mixed Committee, promote the synergy of departments, institutions and enterprises of the two sides, and deepen and substantiate practical cooperation between China and Venezuela.

Delcy Eloina Rodriguez Gomez said that bilateral relations have emerged more mature. President Nicolás Maduro Moros's visit to China marks a new milestone in bilateral cooperation. The Venezuelan side is willing to strengthen cooperation with China to jointly safeguard world peace and benefit people across the world.
