Xi Jinping Accepts Credentials from New Foreign Ambassadors to China

On the afternoon of January 30, 2024, President Xi Jinping accepted credentials presented by 42 foreign ambassadors to China at the Great Hall of the People.

Greeted by the guard of honor lining up on both sides outside the North Gate of the Great Hall of the People and trumpeters blowing the horns, the diplomatic envoys, arriving in succession, passed through the flag array, and walked up the white marble stairs.

In front of the giant painting "A Land So Richly in Beauty", Xi Jinping accepted the credentials respectively presented by the diplomatic envoys and took photos with them one by one.

After the credentials presentation ceremony, Xi Jinping delivered a speech to the diplomatic envoys in the Beijing Hall.

Xi Jinping asked the diplomatic envoys to convey his Spring Festival greetings and best wishes to the leaders and people of their respective countries. Noting that China cherishes its friendship with people of all countries, Xi Jinping pointed out that China is ready to deepen friendship and expand mutually beneficial cooperation with people of all countries on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, to continuously advance the development of bilateral relations. Xi Jinping expressed the hope that diplomatic envoys will get a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of China and work to strengthen the bond of cooperation and build a bridge of communication for bilateral relations. The Chinese government will provide convenience and support for the diplomatic envoys to perform their duties.

Xi Jinping stressed that this year marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. China is advancing the building of a great country and national rejuvenation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization. The ultimate goal of Chinese modernization is to deliver a better life to the whole of more than 1.4 billion Chinese people. For the world, this means a broader market and unprecedented development opportunities, and will inject strong impetus into the modernization endeavors of all countries in the world.

Xi Jinping pointed out that the world today is not peaceful. Bearing in mind the future of mankind and the well-being of its people, China has, as always, endeavored to contribute its wisdom and solutions to the cause of peace and development of mankind, called for an equal and orderly multipolar world and an inclusive economic globalization beneficial to all, and promoted the building of a community with a shared future for humanity, so as to jointly build a better world.
