On February 29, 2024, Vice President Han Zheng met with Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the CMA CGM Group Rodolphe Saadé in Beijing.

Han Zheng said, as this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, President Xi Jinping and President Emmanuel Macron exchanged congratulatory messages and delivered video speeches, charting the course for the next development of China-France relations. There is strong economic complementarity between China and France, with many French companies investing and doing business in China. The CMA CGM Group and Chinese shipping companies have carried out cooperation, achieving mutual benefit, win-win outcomes, and positive results. China remains firmly committed to opening wider to the outside world at a high standard, and will continue to foster a world-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based, and internationalized. Multinational companies, including the CMA CGM Group, are welcome to deepen cooperation with China and achieve better development in the country.

Rodolphe Saadé highly commended China's achievements in economic and social development, saying that the CMA CGM Group attaches great importance to cooperation with China, and will adhere to its long-term development strategy in China, continue to explore the Chinese market, and push for more achievements of mutually beneficial cooperation between France and China.
