Chinese Consul and Head of Post to Laoag Mme. Wang Jianqun Attended the Installation Ceremony of Officers for the Years 2018-2020 of BFCCCI

On January 12th, 2018, the Chinese Consul and Head of Post to Laoag Mme. Wang Jianqun attended the Installation Ceremony of Officers for the Years 2018-2020 of the Baguio Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (BFCCCI) at the Hotel Supreme Convention Plaza of Baguio City. The Hon. Mayor of Baguio Mr. Mauricio Domogan, Vice President of FFCCCII and Mrs. Go representing her husband Congressman Mark Go were among the 200 invited guests attending the evening gala.
 
In her speech, Consul and Head of Post Mme. Wang Jianqun warmly congratulated Mr. Peter Ng for being elected the new President of BFCCCI. She highly commended the fruitful work of the outgoing President Mr. Alex Sia and wished that the newly elected officers under the leadership of the new President Mr. Peter Ng would achieve greater success during their tenure of office.
 
Consul Wang briefed the audience on the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. She pointed out that the Congress established the historical status of Xi Jinping thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. It set China's goals for the next three decades and developed a roadmap and timeline to achieve them. The Congress also outlined China's foreign policy goal – foster a new type of international relations and build a community with a shared future for mankind. 
 
Consul Wang also talked about the significance of the Belt and Road initiative by China. She pointed out that this gigantic programme was initiated by China, but it was not China's solo. It was a chorus by all the participating countries along the Belt and Road which eventually benefit every country. 
 
At the ceremony, Consul Wang presented Mr. Peter Ng with a Certificate appointing him as the Council Member of the Sixth Council of the China Overseas Exchange Association. 
   
During her visit to Baguio, Consul Wang also inspected the second phase of the construction of the Filipino-Chinese Friendship Garden accompanied by Mr. Peter Ng and other leaders of the local Filipino-Chinese community.
