Chinese Consul and Head of Post Zhou Youbin Paid a Courtesy Call to the Former Senator Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.

On Feb. 8, 2019, Chinese Consul and Head of Post to Laoag Zhou Youbin paid a courtesy call to Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., the honorable former senator of the Philippines.


Consul Zhou highly appreciated Mr. Marcos Jr. and his family for their long-term commitment to carrying forward the traditional friendship between the two countries and peoples. He said, the northern region of the Philippines is geographically close to China, where the both sides have broad space for more achievements in economy, trade, culture, tourism and other fields. He would cooperate with local governments to promote pragmatic cooperation and communication between China and the northern provinces.
Mr. Marcos Jr. warmly welcomed Consul Zhou to assume his new post. He happily recalled his visits to China and much appreciated China's great achievements in the past 40 years since China's adaption of reform and opening-up policies, and looked forward to cooperating with the Chinese Consulate in Laoag to enhance the friendly and mutually beneficial relationship between the Philippines and China.
