On March 6, 2019, Chinese Consul and Head of Post to Laoag Zhou Youbin met with the President of Mariano Marcos University Dr. Shirley Agrupis. Both have agreed to promote further cooperation between MMSU and Chinese universities so as to enhance cultural and educational exchange for the northern region in the Philippines.
