On June 19, Chinese Consul and Head of Post to Laoag Zhou Youbin met with Hon. Laoag City Mayor-elected Michael Marcos Keon.

Consul Zhou extended his congratulations to the new mayor, and expressed the expectation for further cooperation with the new city government. Mayor Keon thanked for the contribution of the Chinese Consulate to the city, and promised to work together for a more promising future of local level cooperation between Philippines and China.
