Chinese Consulate in Laoag Donates Relief Goods to Ilocos Norte

Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Laoag City donated 600 packs of relief supplies to the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte for the victims of Typhoon "Ineng."

 

 

On August 27, 2019, Zhou Youbin, Head of Post and Consul went to the Provincial Capitol to meet Governor Matthew Manotoc and to deliver the emergency relief supplies comprising of water, rice, canned food, instant noodles, etc.

Consul Zhou expressed his condolences and sympathy to the victims of the recent typhoon that caused severe floods to the province which led to major losses and damages.

"I hope that this batch of materials can help some people to cope with the urgent needs of the present life," Consul Zhou said.

Zhou added that under the leadership of the governor, people in Ilocos Norte will certainly be able to overcome difficulties, rebuild their homes and resume to normal production and life as soon as possible.

On behalf of the affected people, Governor Manotoc thanked the Chinese Consulate for their enthusiasm and help saying that this is another example of the friendship between people of two countries. The governor added that the supplies will be distributed immediately.
