On August 28, 2019, Head of Post and Consul to Laoag Zhou Youbin met with Ilocos Norte Immigration Chief Paul Verzosa, and officers from the Bureau of Immigration Laoag City Field Office and Airport Operations.

The two sides held a meeting where they discussed issues regarding detained Chinese citizens and the facilitation of visa issuing for Chinese citizens in the Philippines.

Consul Zhou also thanked Versoza for his long-term support in the works of the Consulate and both of them agreed to continue to maintain their communication and exchanges.
