Due to the sudden rise of COVID-19 cases in Tuguegarao City, the Chinese Consulate in Laoag donated 5000 pieces of KN95 masks and 1000 pieces of face shields for the frontline workers of Tuguegarao City through Mayor Jefferson Soriano. They received the masks and face shields on September 7, 2020.
