Notice on Facilitation Arrangements for Visa Applicants Fully Vaccinated by Chinese COVID-19 Vaccines with Vaccination Certificates

To resume orderly cross-border travel, starting from 15 March 2021, China will make facilitation arrangements for visa applicants who have been fully vaccinated by Chinese COVID-19 vaccines with vaccination certificates as following:

A. Applicants (including family members) traveling to China for necessary resumption of production and business activities, could prepare and submit applications in accordance with the requirements before the epidemic.

B. The scope of visa applicants for emergency humanitarian needs would be expanded. Foreign family members of Chinese nationals or foreign nationals with Chinese permanent resident permit, including spouse, parents, children, and other dependent close relatives(siblings, grandparents and grandchildren), traveling to China for family reunion, family supporting, family visit, funeral of relatives or visiting relatives in critical medical condition.

C. A holder of a valid APEC Business Travel Card could apply for M visa with an invitation from the inviting entity.

The Chinese embassy will pay close attention to the vaccination progress and the relevant arrangements regarding the issuance of COVID-19 vaccination certificates in the Philippines. The Chinese embassy will keep close contacts with the relevant Philippine authorities on establishing a mechanism for verifying vaccination certificates, discussing a mutual recognition mechanism for international travel health certificates, to facilitate healthy, safe and orderly bilateral personnel exchanges.

Please wait for further notice regarding the requirements for visa applications and vaccination certificates and the specific date starting to receive visa appointments.

Passengers flying to China are still required to provide the negative certificates of nucleic acid tests and IgM antibody tests before boarding. After entry into China, please comply with the relevant requirements of quarantine.
