On December 7, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag, together with his wife, Consul Ma Ning, were invited to visit the nearly 100-year-old Saint Santiago School in Laoag. They were warmly welcomed by the teachers and students of the school led by Principal Ma. Teresa Co.

Consul Ren and Consul Ma were accompanied by Principal Co in visiting the school building, and both sides exchanged ideas on how to further improve the facilitation of Chinese education in the school.

Consul Ren praised the school for its dedication in educating children and cultivating their talents since its establishment in 1925, as well as for its significant contribution in the promotion of Chinese teaching and in inheriting Chinese culture.

In this gift giving season, Consul Ren, on behalf of the Consulate, also gave presents to each pupil a Chinese panda toy, which was loved by the children.
