On January 6, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag met with the principal of Paoay National High School, Mr. Daniel Tabili and the school’s Chinese language teachers.

During the meeting, Consul Ren expressed appreciation to the teachers and the outstanding graduates of the school. Both sides also exchanged views on how to optimize Chinese language teaching in the locality.

Moreover, Consul Ren praised the school for its achievements in Chinese teaching and cultural exchanges between China and the Philippines over the years. He added that many outstanding graduates of the school have gone to China to study and returned to their hometown as Chinese teachers for local schools and institutions. With that, he assured that the Consulate will continue its efforts in acquiring scholarships for Filipino students to study in China.

Meanwhile, Principal Tabili and the teachers thanked the Consulate for its constant support for the school. They also thanked Consul Ren for making time to meet with them at the beginning of the new year, and guaranteed that the school will continue to make new efforts in the promotion of Chinese education.
