On June 12, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag was invited to attend the celebration of Province of Ilocos Norte for the 125th Independence Day of the Philippines held in front of the Provincial Capitol.

Consul Ren had a friendly conversation with Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc, who had just returned from his visit to China. Consul Ren extended his warm congratulations to the Philippines for its independence and also to the successful visit of the Ilocos Norte government delegation to China.

Governor Manotoc expressed his gratitude for the efforts of Consul Ren and the Consulate.
