On June 13,  Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag met with Congressman Sandro Araneta Marcos in Laoag. The two sides exchanged views on deepening the friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Ilocos Norte.

Consul Ren introduced the current situation of China-Philippines relations, especially the progress of the cooperation between China and Northern Luzon. He thanked Congressman Marcos for support to the Consulate, and expressed his willingness to strengthen exchanges to jointly promote China-Philippines friendship. 

Congressman Marcos welcomed Consul Ren to visit his constituency office, and happily recalled the scene of participating in the opening ceremony of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag in 2007 when he was a boy.He hopes two sides join hands to deepen cooperation in areas such as people's livelihood.
