On July 5, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag accepted an exclusive interview with Mr. Melvin Dela Cuesta, the Editor-in-Chief of “The Northern Light,” a local newspaper in Northern Luzon.

Consul Ren discussed the China-Philippines relations, exchanges and cooperation between China and Northern Luzon. He also mentioned the positive results of the recent visits of Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc and Laoag City Mayor Michael Keon to China, and gave insights to the future plans on agricultural cooperation between China and the cities and provinces in the northern region.Likewise, he gave an overview of the situation in the consular district of the Consulate, and answered some questions regarding China's visa policy.
