President Yang Wanming of Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries visited the Philippines in mid-December. During his visit, President Yang was invited to visit Cagayan Province and met with Governor Manuel Mamba.

On December 16, the Cagayan Provincial Government held a grand and warm welcome ceremony for President Yang and his delegation, participated by local people and highlighted by the traditional and folk dances performed by local youths.

President Yang also conducted a meaningful discussion and exchanges with Atty. Mabel Villarica-Mamba, the wife and representative of Governor Mamba, together with other local officials and department heads of the provincial government, mayors from various municipalities, university presidents, other local public officials, and representatives of the Chinese communities.

Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag accompanied the delegation and attended relevant activities and events.
