During the Spring Festival, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag travelled to Baguio City to celebrate the Spring Festival and express his warm greetings to the Filipino-Chinese communities and local people in the city.

In the afternoon of February 13, Consul Ren and Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong attended the Spring Festival Parade. Along the way, tens of thousands of people watched dragon and lion dances, martial arts and other song and dance performances.

Meanwhile, in the evening of the same night, Consul Ren joined the Baguio Filipino-Chinese New Year Party. He wished everyone a happy new year,  and hope local cooperation between China and the Philippines will continue to make new progress in the Year of the Dragon. More than 500 people from all walks of life in Baguio attended and joined the celebration.
