On February 9, the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year, the Chinese Consulate in Laoag and the Robinsons Ilocos jointly organized a public event to celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival Year of the Dragon.Decorated with colorful lights and beaming lanterns, the Robinsons mall was filled with joy during the event.

Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang attended the event and delivered his warm speech expressing his well wishes to everyone for the new year, praised the traditional friendship between China and the Philippines, and assured that the two sides will continue to promote the China-Philippines’ friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation at the local level.

Students from the Mariano Marcos State University including Chinese students, and Paoay National High School presented wonderful song and dance performances, winning rounds of applause and cheers from the more than 400 audiences at the scene.
