On October 27, Consul Sun Weidong of the Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Laoag, was invited to attend the 18th Induction Ceremony of the Ilocos Norte Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. held in Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

In his speech, Consul Sun expressed warm congratulations to the Chamber, said that the Ilocos Norte Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc. has always carried forward the good tradition of patriotism, and firmly supported the peaceful reunification of our motherland. The Chamber has played an important role in promoting the friendship between China and the Philippines, giving back to the local society, and donating funds and goods to the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte and other departments multiple times during natural disasters. Consul Sun also hoped that the Chamber will continue to care and support the development of our ancestral country and hometown, and make new contributions to the friendship between our two countries.
