On December 16, at the invitation of the municipal government of Banna, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Consulate of People's Republic of China in Laoag attended the Lighting Ceremony of the Giant Christmas Tree and fireworks show.

Ren had friendly exchanges with and extended warm holiday wishes to Mayor Mary Chrislyn Abadilla and provincial and municipal officials. More than one thousand local people participated in the ceremony.
