On February 15, Consul & Head of Post Ren Faqiang of the Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Laoag was invited to attend the 207th Foundation Anniversary of Ilocos Norte held at the Ferdinand E. Marcos Memorial Stadium.

During the celebration, Ren met and had friendly exchanges with Ilocos Norte Governor Matthew Marcos Manotoc, Vice Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos, Assistant Secretary of the Office of the Presidential Assistant for Northern Luzon  Ana Carmela Ventura-Remigio, as well as with provincial congressmen, department heads and mayors, and watched the cultural performances together.
