Wang Huning Meets with RPF Delegation

On January 30, 2024, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) Wang Huning met with a delegation led by Secretary General Wellars Gasamagera of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF) in Beijing.

Wang Huning said that in recent years, President Xi Jinping and President Paul Kagame have maintained communication and exchanges in various ways, steering bilateral relations toward continuous development. China is ready to work with Rwanda to consolidate strategic mutual trust, deepen high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, strengthen international coordination, and continuously take the friendly relations between China and Rwanda to new heights. He noted that the CPPCC is ready to strengthen exchanges with the Rwandan side and make more contributions to the development of bilateral relations.

Wellars Gasamagera said that the RPF cherishes the brotherly friendship with the CPC, admires China's remarkable development achievements, and thanks China for its long-term support for the development of Rwanda. The Rwandan side adheres to the one-China principle, and is ready to strengthen the exchange of experience with China on party and state governance, achieve common development, jointly implement the three global initiatives, and promote the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Shi Taifeng, Mu Hong, and Wang Dongfeng, among others, were present at the meeting.
