When asked by a journalist about the Munich Security Conference's report stating that the world faces a "lose-lose" risk, Wang Yi said that the platform of the Munich Security Conference has always focused on the security risks facing the international community, and this year's theme is whether the world is descending into a "lose-lose" situation, which reflects Europe's reflection and concerns regarding the frequent turmoil in the global situation. China believes that the risk of "lose-lose" arises from three main factors:

First, engage in a zero-sum game. Certain countries adhere to a "I-win-you-lose" approach and solely focus on shrinking or squeezing others' shares, instead of on how to make the pie bigger. But by closing others' doors, they will also box themselves in, benefiting no one.

Second, practice decoupling and severing industrial and supply chains. Certain countries make normal trade exchanges an issue about security and ideologies. They build a "small yard with high fences" in the name of "de-risking". Instead of striving to "run faster", they endeavor to "trip others over". They may seem to be winning, but in reality, they are not only losing their own long-term development but also hindering global progress and prosperity.

Third, create bloc confrontation. Instead of pulling together in the face of global challenges, certain countries are forging various "small circles" and "clubs", creating division and forcing and even coercing other countries to pick sides, which seriously disrupts the international community's efforts to address global challenges and undermines the cornerstone of world peace and development.

Wang Yi stressed that "lose-lose" is an outcome that all parties must steadfastly avoid, and more and more countries have begun to realize this. He said, "We should work together, accommodate the interests of others while safeguarding our own interests, and promote common development while pursuing our own development, so as to achieve win-win results. Win-win is the goal we should pursue together".

To this end, countries must seek unity rather than division, adhere to respecting each other's core interests, discard ideological prejudices, reject bloc confrontation, jointly address common global challenges facing all mankind, and advance the vision of global modernization.

Countries must pursue cooperation rather than confrontation, adhere to dialogue rather than conflict, consultation rather than autocracy, and equality rather than power politics, jointly revitalize the multilateral system with the United Nations (UN) at its core and abide by the basic norms governing international relations based on the purposes and principles of the UN Charter.

Countries must be open rather than closed, keep industrial and supply chains stable and unimpeded, improve the WTO-centered free trade system, foster a market-oriented, law-based business environment up to international standards for international economic and trade cooperation, and make economic globalization more universally beneficial and inclusive.

Wang Yi said, "The vision of building a community with a shared future for mankind proposed by President Xi Jinping is aimed at reminding us that humankind is living in the common home, where we rise or fall together." "Lose-lose" is not a rational choice, and win-win is the future of mankind.
