The Chinese Consul and Head of Post to Laoag Mme. Wang Jianqun paid a courtsey call on the Hon. Mayor of Basco Mme. Ann Viola at the City Hall on March 24, 2017. The two sides exchanged views on developing friendly exchanges and cooperation between cities in China and Basco and other matters of common interest.

  The two sides briefed each other on the current relations between China and the Philippines and the development needs of Basco respectively. Consul Wang and Mayor Viola agreed to set up a close working relationship to expand exchanges and cooperation between the Chinese Consulate in Laoag and Basco.
