Consul & Head of Post Li Xiaoyan Visits Mariano Marcos State University and Paoay National High School
On January 9, 2026, Consul & Head of Post Li Xiaoyan of Chinese Consulate in Laoag visited Mariano Marcos State University and the Confucius Classroom at Paoay National High School in Ilocos Norte.
Li engaged in discussions with the MMSU's President Dr. Manzano, along with Vice President Mr. Domingo, deans and professors, heads of international cooperation, and local Chinese language teachers. They exchanged views on China-Philippines higher education exchanges and cooperation, as well as Chinese language major development. Li also toured the university’s Chinese Corner in the library and Chinese Language Teaching Center.
She visited the Confucius Classroom at Paoay National High School to meet the volunteer teacher, observed a ninth-grade Chinese language class, and had a cordial conversation with the students.
