On June 9, 2026, Consul & Head of Post Li Xiaoyan of the Chinese Consulate in Laoag visited Apayao Province. Li met with Governor Elias C. Bulut, Jr. and toured Apayao State College to exchange views on subnational exchanges and educational cooperation between the two countries.
