On August 11, Consul & Head of Post Li Xiaoyan of Chinese Consulate in Laoag met with Mayor Bonoan of San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte.

Mayor Bonoan recently shared his experience from a visit to China's Hangzhou, expressing high praise for China's development accomplishments. He stated his willingness to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese side in areas such as agricultural technology training to help boost local farmers' production and income.

Consul Li remarked that the Consulate stands ready to work with the municipal government to actively promote exchanges and cooperation between China and the Philippines at sub-national levels in various fields. She welcomed the Mayor and municipal officials to visit more places across China to see for themselves the unique appeal of Chinese-style modernization.
