July 9, 2019, Consul & Head of Post Zhou Youbin met with Mayor Jefferson P. Soriano at the City hall of Tuguegarao City. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral exchanges and cooperation. 

 

Zhou congratulated Mayor Soriano for his successful re-election and admired the Mayor's spirit of continuing to serve the public as a PNP General after his retirement. Zhou thanked the Mayor for his concern and support of the Chinese community, and agreed to carry out more economic, trade and cultural exchanges under the Belt and Road Initiative framework to achieve mutual benefits and win-win results. 

 

Mayor Soriano thanked Zhou for his visit. He acknowledged and appreciated the contributions made by the local Chinese community. Mayor said he loved Chinese culture and was learning Mandarin. The city looked forward to attracting more Chinese investors and tourists.
