On April 27, 2026, Consul & Head of Post Li Xiaoyan of Chinese Consulate in Laoag visited Nueva Vizcaya. Li held talks with Hon. Governor Jose V. Gambito, Vice Governor Eufemia Ang Dacayo, all members of the provincial board, and officials from various provincial government departments. The two sides had in-depth exchanges on agricultural modernization, clean energy, waste disposal, infrastructure construction, and sisterhood exchanges.

Li, together with Vice Governor Dacayo, visited the Nueva Vizcaya General Comprehensive High School to learn about the Chinese language class at its junior high school section. They then went to a household in a Barangay, Solano, and toured a home-based salted duck egg workshop.

Li also gave an interview to Radyo Natin 104.5, a radio station of Bayombong.
