On the evening of September 5, 2023 local time, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council attended and addressed a dinner hosted by China-Indonesia business communities in Jakarta. Present at the event were Indonesia's Coordinator for Cooperation with China and Coordinating Minister of Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, and approximately 200 representatives from the business communities of the two countries.

Li Qiang said that this is his first visit to an Asian country since he took office as Premier of the State Council of China. Noting that he chose Indonesia as the first stop of his trip, Li Qiang said he was here for development, friendship, peace, and cooperation. China and Indonesia are good neighbors, good brothers, and good partners facing each other across the sea, and the friendly relationship between the two countries has withstood the test of time and is growing with new vitality. Under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, China-Indonesia relations have made great progress in recent years, bringing tangible benefits to the two peoples. The two countries are each other's important trading partner. With their investment cooperation achieving leapfrog development and their industrial and supply chains being deeply integrated, the two countries have contributed to each other's success. The cooperation between the two countries goes beyond bilateral relations and is of exemplary and leading significance for regional stability and prosperity.

Li Qiang pointed out that the more fluid the situation, the greater the need to grasp the general trend and mainstream. Peaceful development and win-win cooperation are the paths that China and Indonesia, two major developing countries, must take to achieve national revitalization and people's happiness. Li Qiang called on entrepreneurs to strengthen confidence in cooperation, seek development through deepening cooperation, and embrace the future by following the trend.

Li Qiang stressed that high-quality cooperation between China and Indonesia enjoys broad prospects and will have a brighter future. China is ready to work with Indonesia to expand cooperation in such areas as green energy, digital economy, biomedicine, and artificial intelligence, and further broaden the scope and enhance the efficiency of cooperation between the two countries. He expressed the hope that enterprises from both sides will step up high-standard cooperation on innovation to boost the development of the two countries.

Li Qiang pointed out that China will steadily expand institutional opening-up, further ease market access in the modern services sector and other areas, make intensified efforts to protect intellectual property rights, and foster a world-class business environment that is market-oriented, law-based and internationalized. China hopes that Indonesia will continue to maintain market openness and provide a fair and just business environment for Chinese enterprises. He expressed the hope that entrepreneurs from China and Indonesia will strive to be promoters, communicators, and pioneers of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, create more benefits for the two peoples, and make greater contributions to building a China-Indonesia community with a shared future.

Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said in his remarks that cooperation between Indonesia and China has effectively driven Indonesia's economic development and achieved mutual benefit and win-win results. Indonesia is ready to work with China to further strengthen strategic cooperation, deepen the integration of industrial and supply chains, achieve high-quality development, and elevate bilateral relations to a new height.

Wu Zhenglong, among others, was present at the above event.
